Concerto Movimento ~ is a captivating contemporary work. This piece has a unique and colorful interpretation of the movement of the violinist bow on the strings. Using vibrant shades of orange, yellow and red, I’ve undertaken to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, creating a visually striking representation.
The violin although faithfully detailed, is rendered with swirls, curves and undulations that gives it a sculptural dimension. This visual distortion invites you to consider the violinist’s arm movements while caring the violin with their bow, I’m hoping to succeed in redefining a familiar object into a thoughtful and provocative artwork.
