Something Beautiful

何か美しいもの

無造作で、無機質。
整っていないからこそ、ふと心に引っかかるものがある。
この作品は、「美しさは完成された形の中だけに存在するものではない」という問いから生まれました。

可読性を保ちながら、あえて歪みを帯びた書体。
計算されていないようでいて、感情の揺らぎをそのまま定着させた線は、観る人の感性に静かに触れます。
正方形に近い端正な表具との対比が、書の「不完全さ」を際立たせ、空間に緊張感と余白をもたらします。

淡墨による柔らかな階調は、光の入り方や時間帯によって表情を変え、日常の中で何度も新しい「美」を発見させてくれます。
外枠にはシルバーのスチール額を採用し、和に留まらず、モダン・ミニマル・インダストリアルな空間にも自然に溶け込みます。

4ヵ月の制作期間を経て仕立てられた一点もの。
言葉を読むための作品でありながら、意味を超えて感覚で所有する書作品です。

⬛︎なぜこの言葉を部屋に置くのか

部屋に置く言葉は、自分に向けて毎日無言で語りかけるものだと思います。

「something beautiful」という言葉は何かを肯定するための言葉ではありません。
整っていない日や、うまく言葉にできない感情の中にも、それでも確かに存在するものがあるという、静かな視線です。

忙しい日常の中で、意味を考えなくてもいい。
ただそこに在ることで、空間と気持ちを少し緩めてくれる。
この作品はインテリアとして主張するためのものではなく
「自分の感覚を信じていい」という余白を部屋に残すための書です。

すぐに意味が分からなくても構いません。
ふと視線が止まり、理由は分からないけれど気になる。
その感覚こそが、この作品が存在する理由です。

一点もののため、同じ表現を再び生み出すことはできません。
「今、心に引っかかっている」という感覚を、大切にしていただけたら幸いです。

Something Beautiful

Casual and inorganic. Precisely because it is unpolished, something unexpectedly catches the heart. This work was born from the question: 「Does beauty exist only within perfect forms?」

A deliberately distorted typeface that maintains legibility. 
Lines that seem uncalculated, yet capture the very fluctuations of emotion, quietly touch the viewer’s sensibility. 
The contrast with the nearly square, formal mounting highlights the calligraphy’s 「imperfection」, bringing tension and negative space to the room.

The soft gradations of pale ink change expression depending on the light and time of day, allowing you to discover new 「beauty」repeatedly in daily life. The outer frame uses a silver steel frame, allowing it to blend naturally not only into Japanese-style spaces but also into modern, minimalist, and industrial spaces.

A one-of-a-kind piece crafted over a four-month production period. While it is a work meant to be read, it is also a calligraphic piece to be owned through sensation, transcending meaning.

Words placed in a room silently speak to you every day.

The phrase 「something beautiful」 isn’t meant to affirm anything. It’s a quiet gaze acknowledging that even on messy days, or amidst feelings too complex for words, something truly beautiful still exists.

In the hustle of daily life, you don’t need to ponder its meaning. Its mere presence gently relaxes the space and your mood. This piece isn’t meant to assert itself as interior decor. It’s calligraphy that leaves room in your space for the message: 「It’s okay to trust your own senses」.
