“サボテンの夢” 

  植物達に触れていると、こんなにも素晴らしい彼らの夢はなんだろうと思うのです。

 私は今、サボテンを育てています。驚くほどすごい生命力なのです。

一ヶ月水を渋っても全然平気で、なんならその状態で子株を芽吹くこともあります。それほどの力があっても、湿度が高いとすぐにカビが生えてしまいます。 

私達は人間で、得手不得手があります。

神様ではないので。

サボテンにも、得手不得手があるようです。

多分神様ではないので。

私達人間は性に合わないことをやりたがることがあります。

側から見ればやめておけばいいのに、やりたい時があります。

結果は散々のことも少なからずありますね。

でも、上手くできなくても楽しかったり、こりゃ無理だと気が済んだり。

所謂まわり道と言われることも、いいんじゃないかなと私は思うのです。

 やってみたいことを体験できることが、人生の素晴らしさだと、私は思っています。 

 サボテンも、一度は魚と泳ぎたいと思って水に飛び込んだかもしれません。

海や川を満喫したのか、水なんてこんなにあってもしょうがないと思ったのか。

色々あった結果、やっぱり乾燥した陸地にいるのかもしれません。

でもきっと彼らは、水と一緒に、今も新たな夢で胸を膨らませていると思うのです。

  “The Dream of the Cactus.”   

When I touch these plants, I wonder what their dreams are, which are so wonderful. 

I am currently growing a cactus.

It is amazingly vigorous.I can keep it alive for a month without watering it, and sometimes it will sprout a new cactus.

Even with that kind of power, if the humidity is too high, it will quickly get moldy. 

We are human beings, and we have our strengths and weaknesses.

We are not gods.

It seems that cacti also have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Maybe because they are not God.

We humans sometimes want to do things that are not in our nature.

Sometimes we want to do things that, objectively speaking, we should not do.

The results are not a few times scattered.

But even if we don’t get it right, it can be fun, or it can make us feel better that we can’t do it.

I think it is good to take what is called a detour. 

I think it is a wonderful thing in life to be able to experience what we want to try.  

Cacti may have once jumped into the water because it wanted to swim with fish.

Did they enjoy the ocean or the river, or did it think that there are no need to have so much water?

Maybe they are still on dry land as a result of many things.

But I am sure that they are still filled with new dreams along with the water.
